Open Role

Co-Host (Comedian) – HAEVN Video Series

We're building a video series about modern dating, what's broken, and why people keep ending up in the same situations.

This is not a traditional podcast.

It's a conversation-driven show designed to generate highly relatable short-form clips (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) from long-form recordings.

The Role

You'll co-host the show alongside Rik Foote (founder of HAEVN).

He brings the perspective and frameworks.

You bring the human reaction.

Your job is to:

  • Represent the audience
  • React in real time
  • Ask what people are actually thinking
  • Push back when something doesn't feel right
  • Keep the conversation grounded and real

This is not an interview.

It's a conversation that creates moments.

The Format (Important)

There is a structure behind the show.

We follow a repeatable format designed to create strong short-form content. Every segment is built to naturally produce clips that:

  • Start with a strong hook
  • Tap into something people recognize from real life
  • Shift perspective (reframe)
  • Land on a simple, obvious truth
  • Lightly connect back to the broader idea

You don't need to memorize or force this.

But you do need to understand that:

The conversation is guided. Not random.

Your role is to help surface those moments by asking good questions, reacting honestly, and creating tension when needed.

You'll have freedom inside the format.

What We're Looking For

  • Comedian, improv, or naturally quick conversationalist
  • Comfortable on camera
  • Has real opinions about dating and relationships
  • Can challenge ideas without trying to "win"
  • Curious, reactive, and not overly scripted
  • Doesn't need to dominate the spotlight

If you've ever thought "dating right now is kind of insane," you'll probably get it.

What This Is Not

  • Not a scripted show
  • Not a formal interview podcast
  • Not stand-up or a performance set
  • Not reading questions off a list

If you approach this like a typical podcast, it won't work.

Format Details

  • 60–90 minute recording
  • 1 shoot per month (Tampa)
  • Filmed for both long-form (YouTube) and short-form clips

The goal is to create moments that feel like:

"That's exactly what happens to me."

Example Topics

  • Why swiping feels productive but leads nowhere
  • “Swipe bait” and why people look right but aren’t
  • Situationships and misalignment
  • What actually makes a match work

Compensation

  • Paid per shoot (based on experience)
  • Potential for ongoing role as the series grows

How to Apply

Send a quick intro, any video or clips (stand-up, podcast, social, etc.), and optionally your take on why modern dating feels broken. We'll do a short test recording to see if it clicks.

Final Note

We're not looking for someone to perform.

We're looking for someone who can sit down, react honestly, and help create conversations people actually relate to.

If that sounds like you, reach out.
